RASMUS BILLE BAHNCKE

Danish record producer, songwriter, composer & keyboardist based in New York City since 2003. Work characterized by a wide stylistical range of production and songwriting for recording artists, film and TV. Rasmus also has production and live performance responsibilities with band Hess Is More as vocalist and Roland SH101 key-tar bassist.

Notable projects as producer & songwriter: Hess Is More (US), Fagget Fairys (DK), Backstreet Boys (US), Miley Cyrus (US), Shaznay Lewis (UK), Blue (UK), Tarkan (TUR) and Leehom Wang (CHI).

Notable work as composer: Title song and source music composer for 2015 TV drama series ‘Norskov‘, Score and music supervision for Frederikke Aspock’s 2012 Marrakesh Film Festival Gold Prize winner ‘Out Of Bounds’, ‘Out Of Tune’ 2019 and 2004 Cannes 1st Prize winner ‘Happy Now’. ‘Happy Now’ also earned the Clive Davis Award for Excellence in Music in Film.

2008

Music for TV. A lot of it. Highlight: Working on the theme for FOX TV show K-VILLE got me in the studio with legendary DR. JOHN, GLEE producer Adam Anders and rap star CHAMILLIONAIRE.

2009

Super duper lesbo electro duo the FAGGET FAIRYS 1st single FEED THE HORSE (on which I hold co-writing, production & final mix credit) hit #4 on the NATIONAL AIRPLAY CHARTS in Austria, Denmark, Switzerland and Belgium. Click the pic for more. Thanks to HESS IS MORE I rediscover the joy of playing live music. Highlight: Transatlantic Percussion Nightmare Vol.2 at NUBLU NYC with Dean Bowman, Ambrose Akinmusire, Nikolaj & Mikkel Hess and a 12 piece percussion section from The Royal Danish Academy of Music. 2010

For most of the year I cocooned myself in the c/o studio with studio partner and friend, artist, Mikkel Hess to finalize writing, production and final mix of the 2011 HESS IS MORE album. This has been an amazing ride and I feel like we hold something very special. Can’t wait for this to come out!! In the meantime outside of the studio Kimberly Locke’s ‘Strobelight’ co-written and produced by Randy Jackson, Cutfather and myself climb to #5 on BILLBOARD’S HOT DANCE CLUB SONGS.
